Justus was born in an adobe house without running water or electricity ouside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. He spent his early years running through the hills outside of Taos, NM.
A few years later, his parents decided to move to Baltimore, Maryland (Charm City) to live closer to family.
His parents, being working class people in a then tough town, moved around a lot. From an early age Justus had a good idea as to what hard times are all about.
When Justus was twelve years old, he heard Hotel California, by the Eagles, on the radio. He was doing the evening dishes when the song came on.
"I remember thinking for the first time there were people in the world making music and that's what they did with their lives. From then on it was like I knew what I was supposed to do."
Many years and many miles down the line, Justus is doing exactly that.
