I grew up in Montana on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. I am enrolled with the tribe. I graduated Highschool in 1985 and went into the Marines. I was a machinegunner and traveled all over the world and met all kinds of interesting people. I got married while I was in the Marines and she got pregnant with Andrew. We then moved to Montana where I started working as a Federal Police Officer. It was a very tough job. My first year on my Captain got shot, I had 2 standoffs with weapons, and saw alot of death due to drinking, drugs, and poverty. We then had Trevor and she got pregnant with kelli and then we divorced. I worked as a Federal Police Officer for 7 years and met my second wife. We moved to Missoula and then to St. ignatius in Montana where I was a City Police Officer, and then a County Deputy. I started college and got my Associate's Degree in Business. I also joined the Army National Guard where I was a Sgt. in the Infantry. She got on with the Oregonian in Portland so we moved to Beaverton, OR. I decided that I wanted to get my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, so I was working 2 jobs, doing National Guard and going to school full time. We ended up getting divorced after 1 year and I graduated college, and started working for the Portland State University Public Safety Office as an officer. Then September 11th happened and I got shipped off to Iraq. I was promoted to Staff Sergeant and spent 6 months training and 1 year in Kuwait and Iraq. I came back and found Cheryl or rather she found me. Cheryl is my wife and my best friend. Cheryl has helped me through so much and I love her very much. I now work for Oregon Health and Science University as a Public Safety Officer. Well thats my life. My motto is that everything happens for a reason. I would never go back and change anything that has happened in my life, because I have learned so much and experienced so much. There is no joy without pain.
