oi! oi! oi! Primitive Anarchists is a sweet combination of some relaxed songwriting with an acoustic guitar, that evolved into alot of fast paced drumming distorted strummin' , fret board running bass and sing along lyrics that'll keep u coming back for more!
Two brothers and members of a little pretoria based streetpunk band decided to try something different after 2years of fun. A decision was made to free the locked up creativity inside them that streetpunk just didnt allow for, and the result became known as PRIMITIVE ANARCHISTS, bringing the rock and roll feel to the world of punk.
The band had their first practice in december 2007 and it immediatly became apparent they needed a second guitarist. The search took them to old friend Marc. everyone knew that mark was a talented bassist but it came as quite a shock when he picked up the guitar and started jamming with the band. After about a year of trying to etch their name into the local scene the original bassist decided to leave the band and this gave Marc the chance to get back to his roots.
So the search was on to find a guitarist again, this time PRIMITIVE ANARCHISTS got contacted by Shaun "Cabbs" Hillary. Shaun has been playing in punk and rock 'n roll bands all of his life (Ceasefire, Bite the Bullet and The Sunday Punchers) and after 20mins of finger bleeding auditioning he got welcomed into the band with an ice cold beer.
The band has since played some amazing shows with awesome line-ups and are lucky enough to be getting shows with FLAG Management. We are currently working on our full lengh expected to be released whenever we are done.
