STOMATA [GUITARIST WANTED!!]

Stomata began inside the brains of vocalist Chance Weickenand and guitar player Tony Hernandez. After the break-up of Chance’s previous music group, Liberate, he eventually met up with Tony to form Forlorned in early 2005. As months went by people came and went in the band and eventually the project was trashed, but Chance and Tony kept on writing.
Eventually Kel Bowen, who is a trusted friend of the two, stepped in on bass. The three guys kept writing and jamming, and the chemistry was unmistakable. But there was still a drummer position to be filled. Brandon Cabral stepped in and the band was ready with new members and a new name: Stomata. Everyone had something different to add to the band and the songs infected listeners like a virus....the virus of metal...
The band soon went on hiatus. Six months into the madness, Brandon left because of creative differences. The 3 remaining members began work on new songs and a search for a new drummer. Around November 2005 the band came across Nick Galvan, whom they had previously met at a show in L.A during the early summer. After one audition session it was set, they had found the musician they were all looking for and began expanding on their songs as well as writting new ones.
Since then the reinvented Stomata have been writting, playing house shows, and even recording a demo is the summer of 06. As their fanbase grows, and house parties turn into club shows at The vibe and The Cellar, they continue bringing a heavy musical masterpiece that is Stomata.
During the summer of 07, aside from playing local clubs a few times a month, they recorded a full length CD in Nick's Home Studio. Unfortunatly, due to personal and professional issues, Stomata had to relieve guitarist Tony Hernandez of his duties in November 07. This cancelled the release of the CD, but the birth of a new project. Without missing a step, Stomata hired on Daniel Ramirez and Matt onto guitar. But things didnt work out with Matt and he and Stomata parted ways. Unfortunately we lost contact with Dan and we hope he's alive and well, but this means that STOMATA has come to an end. Or has it?
NO WAY!!! STOMATA is alive and well! On January 1st 2009 we released our official self produced debut album and its going to rock your face!!! We are sending it out to promoters, labels and magazines to get some coverage and we are in the lookout for a guitarist to take us ALL THE WAY!!! If you're not ready for the mayhem you better kill yourself now because the MAYHEM IS HERE!!!
