The White Wreath Association is a volunteer-run Australian organisation that aims to increase community awareness about suicide and mental illness. It is a non-denominational, non-political and anti-discriminatory group supporting people who have been directly affected by suicide and those affected by mental illness who are seeking help. One of the White Wreath Association's goals is to remove the unfounded myths and stigmas often associated with suicide and mental illness. It also aims to raise sufficient funds to establish Safehaven Centres for those who want a 'place of safety' at times when suicide threatens. The White Wreath Association is available 24 hours a day for anyone in need on 1300 766 177 (at the cost of a local call from anywhere in Australia).
