Through the tough times I have realized that I am blessed with a great family and amazing friends . They include my parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunties, uncles and the friends that have become family. I especially adore my nieces and nephews-their perspectives, sense of humors, questioning minds and level of caring for others continues to amaze me. You can often see me carrying one kid on my hip and holding another one’s hand. I’m generally pretty shy when I first meet people and often misconceived as someone who is stuck up. I’ve been known as a workaholic and a bit of a perfectionist, but I recently quit my job as a waitress/hostess/banquet server at the Blue Lake Casino to make time for more important things. I am a full-time student at College of the Redwoods, who after being accepted to a couple of 4-year universities, decided social work wasn’t for me. I’ve earned an associate’s degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences and am working on one in Dental Assisting (not something I’m going to do forever but works for now). After finishing this year of school I plan on moving somewhere…not exactly sure where but I know I need to get out of my comfort zone.Other mostly useless but perhaps interesting things about me: I think sleep in overrated; I have an earring fetish; I wear contacts but am considering Lasik eye surgery, I cannot play any musical instrument, I’ve never broken a bone, I like to see how far I can go without running out of gas, I’ve never done drugs and hate the things they’ve done to people I love, my parent’s have been together for 27 years and my grandparents were married for over 50, I’ve talked my way out of 3 speeding tickets, I have a bad habit of popping my knuckles, I was 17 the first time I went to a bar, I want to try bungee jumping and windsurfing; I have a hard time driving an automatic; I hardly ever cook; I have a scar on my forehead from falling of a porch while trick-or-treating when I was 5 and a huge one on my leg from climbing through a barbed wire fence, we once had a guy hold a bottle hostage so we would go to a party at his house; I have two tattoos, I love challenges and challenging myself.Life doesn’t always turn out how you plan, but I’ve been raised to accept that fact that everything happens for a reason. I've made my fair share of mistakes and I'm ready to grow up and get rid of the drama-my life will be about the things and people that I want to keep in it."To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."My Space or Yours? and I are proud supporters of (RED). Do your part. Educate yourself JOIN (RED).com
