About Me

You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !

It's not about me, it's not even about the musicians, it's about the music.... I have had to adapt this new site to the skills I have, and instead of using a Myspace player to promote music, I am having to use a 'provided' player until my web design skills have improved.
I have the EXPRESSED permissions to promote these songs by the artists, and written permission can be obtained IF NECESSARY, all you gotta do is ask before deleting me.So, let's get right back too it! What is MMM all about? As said earlier, it's all about music, Myspace music, that moves me. 12 months ago I joined Myspace, and since then I have found myself in a web world of music that simply blows commercial crap right out of the water. There are some seriously talented folk that make camp here, and sing around our fire. However, there's also the not so great, it has to be said, and because of this many people simply don't add musicians, or search for new music. That's a sorry state of affairs in my eyes, one I would like to try and change.
So...inspired by great music (and some ace musicians) I decided to set up Myspace Music Matters, a page dedicated to only promoting the music I love, out of love, and not for any other reason. I've seen so many people try to jump in on the talent and success of others, with only money in their heart and greed in their eyes. It's not a look I dig, so let it be known that I don't make a penny for doing what I do here. I appreciate not everyone has the same tastes ( it'd be a damn dull world if we did ) but at least you will all know my motives for promoting any band or artist is not out of money. My time, tastes and opinion can not be bought or sold. So the only bands you will see added here are ones that have gained my attention and kept it for sometime, because their music has moved me.
I genuinely love music. I consider it a faithful friend, always there to wipe away tears ( or say words that just cause more ), there to dance drunken nights away with... But only music that moves me. I don't mind how it does that, either with words and lyrics, beats and rifts, piano pieces, I don't mind... I'm not easy, I'm open.
So, who does MMM love? Who's in the player, and where can you find out more about them?
Well... it just so happens, that all the links and info you need for all the artists on the player are right here!:
Nokes
Nokes is an amazing singer/songwriter/guitarist. His music leaves the listener thoughtful and uplifted, and in a somewhat musing mood. Now, many of you have probably done this, but whenever I buy an album I often find myself skipping a track or two. Nokes, being a brave bold bugger, created an album which is just short of thirty tracks, and each one is just as good as the last and the next. The whole album begs to be heard, and it should, especially as right now it's free to download! Nokes' music, story and vision is one to be shared and loved. MMM simply wouldn't be without this man, so a huge thank you to him.

Lizzyspit
Lizzyspit is a lovely lady from London, who's ability to put into music a girl's mind is second to none, which is particularly noticeable in 'Laura's Diary'. Lizzyspit has been compared to the likes of Kate Nash, and MMM has to be honest and say that Miss Nash just doesn't do it for me, but Lizzyspit sure does! 2008 should surely be the year of Lizzyspit, and MMM is dedicated to getting this great girl heard! Be a babe like MMM, and support Lizzyspit by purchasing (in advance) Lizzyspit's 'Laura's Diary' from the link below!

Johnny Depth
Johnny Depth is a solo artist with many many talents. Not one to stick to a genre when it comes to his music, instead Johnny Depth really captures the essence of good music by quite literally creating his own very unique sound. Nobody, in my eyes, is making music quite like his. His lyric writing skills are genius, whether the song is a sit down and think like 'I Lie' or 'Freelance' or his 'party pieces' like 'Making Up'. An artist Chicago could and should be proud of.

Adam Peter Smith
Adam is somewhat of a rare find on Myspace. His music could be compared to that of a much younger Ray LaMontagne. Although only young and starting up, his talent is clear and his hopes are high. As well as being very musically creative Adam works on other projects, which I hope to be able to give good news on soon. MMM would love to see this guy in more gigs, and anyone that can help do that for him (or any artists here) should let us know!

The King Blues
The King Blues are an awesome band from London, with a sound of screamo/ska/punk/accoustic all put together to create what really is some of the most moving music I've heard. No two tracks of theirs sound the same, and most of their tracks highlight a political and social situation that others are simply too scared to say. Now, MMM has seen these boys live, and I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly good they are live. Withing five minutes of the boys being on the stage I was singing choruses I hadn't known before entering the bar. Their music and performance totally captures the attention of the crowd, our ears turn to truth, peace and love.

Mike Scott
Mike Scott, bassist and vocalist for Phinus Gage, decided to do some solo work after doing an acoustic piece for the bands album. Since the end of 2006 he has created two solo albums, 'Massacre Songs' and his recent release in 2008, '...At The Slaughterhouse', which is an amazing album and is still free to download!!! Mike, like the King Blues,(who he has already shread the stage with I might add!) does not fear bringing today's issues into his music, and making some very strong and valid points. His acoustic performances and great vocals twinned with his punchy lyrics make for great thoughtful listening!

Matt Toka
Matt Toka, a solo artist that is defining the sound of pain, and showing that despite it all things can be achieved in life no matter how rough it tries to treat you. A man that goes beyond wearing his heart on his sleeve, and bears all in his incredible music. His single 'Sunday Morning' poses powerful points of view, and an awesome beat to kick it to, you'll see what I mean! His debut album 'Burning In The Clouds' is on Itunes and CD, and currently free download!!!
