I'm just a chick with a guitar or three...enjoying the creative process. I think part of starting to put yourself out there is well putting yourself out there..ready or not!!
I've been playing music for most of my life in one form or another...found the guitar in college when trying to play saxophone in a dorm room just wasn't cutting it...later I started writing...and then I found my voice and then I lost it and found another...but that's another story entirely.
I recently added "If My Eyes Could Speak", "Midnight Fun" and "Sweet Home Chicago" I have to admit I had no idea how Sweet Home Chicago actually went so almost pulled a second or third verse same as the first (did you know there are 5 verses to that song...obvious to the most casual observer I did not at the time :-) These are all live recordings so they are pretty raw...but I pride myself on being an honest and organic musician...and believe part of the journey is hearing that side to any artist...before producers show up and arrange and perfect (don't get me wrong I could use a little polish :-)
The plans are in the works to begin recording an EP late Spring and Summer...so I'm sure newly arranged and cleaned up versions of some songs on here will make their way on the list or some will hit the bin...but for now please enjoy the process and art of simply making music with me.
I took a long break from playing out...but you know it's just not as fun to play in your living room...well that's not entirely true...but I digress. So the band of one is back together.
