Stefan k is a producer/dj who concerntrates on the house music genre and scene. In his early teens Stefan k's earlier influences to dance music was growing up listening to pirate statons such as Freak fm,Mission fm,Passion 91.8,Kool fm,and Shine 87.9 e.t.c,at the time where playing house/funky house/garage/d&b music,and also watching his cousin Tino Antonio mixing on his decks at his house. This is where he was inspired and came to his 14th birthday he got a pair of beltdrive Soundlab decks where he learnt to practice his skill to mix on old skoolgarage music and drum and bass. In the year 2001-2 now in his mid teens the garage scene was big,and stefan k as his dj name was "Beatkeeper" at the time, would be in record stores listening and buying the latest records,this is where he will come to an old friend who was like him who had shared the same passion for music. everyday the two would mix to perfect there skill, and eventually get doing small party bookings and also doing a few illegal unlicenced clubs.By 2003 Funky house was popular and stefan k used Funky in his music sets but there was a new scene emerging it was called "Grime" as it was always there,people didnt really have a name for it, as stefan k just called it "Bass" or "Dark", as it didnt really intrigue stefan k, where his ears where use to melody ,vocal and breakbeat garage at the time,and he just thought Grime would be repetetive with its 8 bar style ,and eventually dry out soon.In 2004-5 Stefan k was lost in Dance music as he didnt know what sound to take in ,garage was finished and Grime music was very popular, and Funky house was also.Where as Stefan always liked funky, he listened to it from his early teens , and his cousin Tino use to drop him cds of himself mixing to funky house music ,so stefan stuck with funky for the time being. Mid 2006 at a family Birthday party Tino Antonio who has become big on the underground scene, would show Stefan k on his mobile this new type of genre that has emerged from the influence of house called Dirty- Electro/Electro Tech sound which has always been there, but been modified and updated.When Stefan k heard this sound he was intrigued, as took a liking very quickly to this type of music.By late 2006-2007 Stefan k would be going with Tino Antonio and his partner Paulo watching them play at most top house clubz and promotion after partys in London, which play the best in underground house music. This where Stefan has started on his producing side of things, and being influenced all over again by the sound of Techno/Electro/Minimal Tech where he begins his journey into house music.2008-present stefan k is currently working on his production mainly than his djing. making tracks like "panther lurks" with its Tech Minimal sounds,glitchy hooks,and Eastern percussion. a track like"puddles" again with the typical minimal sounding beat,wet stabs,and flowing deep keys in the background. and stefan k's personal favourite track "daylight" feat tino antonio with its Tech house elements,also geting played at the egg in kings cross and getting good feedback from it. Also the Deep Tech sounding "Disco bitch" with its rude sexy vocal, a potential to rock dancefloors and speakers.watch this myspace Stefan k ;-)
