I moved here from Connecticut about 5 years ago pretty much for a change of scenery and warmer weather. I live in Escondido, CA (San Diego County) where i just baught my first house.
My sidekick is my awesome boxer/lab mix named Max. He's pretty much the coolest dog in the world. (no offense to your coolest dog in the world)
