About Us
West End Bikes is one of the most unique bike shops left in Houston. Our shop started to organize and promote off-road bike racing in Southeast Texas way back in the 1980's. This eventually helped develop the Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association (with the help of many others). West End is also the closest bike shop to Memorial Park in the inner loop of Houston. From our shop, you can rent a bike and ride to the Memorial Park bike trails because its only one mile away. Our floor is open and roomy, we have knowledgeable people to help you, there’s a cool bike museum with a ton of old bikes, and Frank the cat! Come on in, kick -er, um- squeeze the tires, and go for a test ride or two. And most of all, take it easy - there’s no pressure here. Need a bike for only a day or two? We’ve got what you need in our bicycle rental department. Whether you’re visiting Houston, or just need a bike to try out the trails with a friend, come by and we’ll fit you with the right bike. They’re all maintained by our experienced service and repair shop.
