About Me

Euclid Gray, formerly of the R. Kelly's platinum R&B Public Announcement and known to millions as Rev. Henry Oliver in Tyler Perry's hit play and DVD release "Meet The Brown's," made his debut Malaco release and transition into the Gospel arena with a fan favorite, Urban Inspirational release "Father Guide Me" in 2007. His accomplishments up to this point afforded Euclid instant face recognition with the Gospel and mainstream audiences; however his 2nd Malaco release, "Unleashed" just may categorize all those accomplishments as simply humble beginnings.
How many people do you know that can say that they signed with a major label, performed around the world and with a multi-platinum selling R & B group?
As a member of the group, Public Announcement, Euclid Gray can profess to have accomplished each and every one of these goals. Now, venturing into a solo career and crossing over to contemperary gospel, Euclid is back with the release of his latest album “Father Guide Me.” This album contains 18 soul smashing tracks and has already sold over 10,000 copies as he toured with Tyler Perry performing the successful play “Meet the Browns.”
Euclid has successfully ministered with Vicky Winans, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, Youth Edition, Trinity 5-7, Shirley Caesar, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Tonex. As one-fourth of the secular platinum selling group Public Announcement, Euclid has graced the stage with artist such as R. Kelly, Brian McKnight, Black Ty, Mary J. Blige and many more.
Euclid Gray has been featured on television networks such as Daystar, TV One, The Word Network, UPN, Fox, MTV, BET, CLTV, WGN and also featured in numerous magazines. Euclid turned his life over to God before his three year involvement with Public Announcement began. Euclid expressed that many relationships that he had previously maintained began to wither after his leaving the group. After numerous trials and tribulations, this gentleman has made a life altering change and not only does he sing, but he sings for the Lord.
Euclid was blessed and very fortunate to get a role in a stage play known as “Meet the Browns.” This was an opportunity of a lifetime, a great experience and it allowed him to profit. This gave him the opportunity to show his versatility, but he never knew this would be a tool that would help him at a later date. When asked about this opportunity, he said “I never thought I would be acting on a stage.”
Euclid explained feelings of dismay after many music record labels turned their back, but he explained that after the disappointment he awoke one morning and heard God say “Just go to Malaco.” He reports that he made a call to Malaco and was told that they were not in search of artists. He admits that one day he made a decision to get his wife and children, pack travel bags and take his music to the Malaco offices. As he entered the gates of the Malaco offices, someone recognized him and asked was he the preacher from “Meet the Browns.” Not knowing what the future would hold, the person introduced him to Malaco’s CEO, whom he would later have a meeting with and they finalized a deal. The label was positive Euclid’s talents were powerful enough to move the masses.
Euclid has been influenced by gospel music acts such as Walter Hawkins, Tonex, Shirley Caesar and Deitrick Haddon. He is still evolving on the scene as a gospel artist, and says he does not know many gospel artist yet. After listening to his album, I must say the guy is talented, he provides you with songs that are mellow and others that are jazzy. With songs such as” Remind Yourself,” “Getcha Step On,” “U Can Make It,” “Ghetto Gospel Man,” and his smooth single “Are You A Letter” he is bound to see platinum success. After talking with Euclid, he expresses that his overall mission is win souls for Christ and to uplift individuals.

Sounds Like:
Gray's Father Guide Me is a generous 18-track set that grooves on the mellow side, with the artist's smooth tenor softly but forcefully bringing home his message.

Accompaniment by acoustic guitar, keys and subtle rhythms reinforces the quiet storm vibe.

On "Imagine", Gray looks to his ultimate destination (heaven), and reflects on its wonder. "Getcha Step On" is a bold fight proclamation, while "U Can Make It" encourages all to continue in the path that God has set, knowing that He will bring us through. Gray's passionate vocals soar expressively on this one in particular.

Throughout the project, Gray is transparent with his emotions and struggles -the trials and tribulation of life that we all experience. He uses this to turn the focus on Jesus Christ, know that it is only through Him that he will experience fulfillment. The rap-injected title cut, "Father Guide Me" especially addresses some of the struggles (loneliness on tour, crowd hype, being away from family etc.) that Gospel artists experience. The song is a prayer for God to guide him through all such situations.

Look for Father Guide Me to stick with you, as Euclid Gray's combination of message and music serves to draw you into a closer relationship with our Lord.
