I knew it, I'm surrounded by assholes!

About Me

Hello everyone, I haven't been on in a long while, sorry about that. I have been extremely busy of late and haven't had much time for much of anything. I moved to Brick in July. I have a nice two bedroom town home right next to the parkway, which is extremely convenient given the fact that I spend more time commuting to work and school than I probably should. My parents finally moved to Holiday City with the rest of the old farts. And my sister moved into my parent's former home. The family deck got shuffled so to speak. But change is healthy and I am very happy.I only have one more year of school and it's no more teachers no more books. I am becoming increasingly anxious about it by the week. I can not wait. I am doing extremely well in my classes. I don't mean to brag or anything, but I currently have a 3.9 GPA. Not too bad in my opinion, but what the hell do I know anyhow. Anyhow, Thanks to everyone who has dropped me a line over the summer and sorry I haven't responded. -Jay

My Interests

I have far too many interests to list here. But some of my favorites include spending time with my family, playing my guitar, tearing things apart and putting them back together, and downloading more music than I could ever listen to.

I'd like to meet:

I am hear to meet up with my friends and family; old, current, and new.

Music:

A good rule of thumb is if it plays regularly on MTV I probably don't like it. VH1 maybe, MTV never. My favorite band right now is the Loose Roosters. They are a local band right from our own Jersey Shore. I encourage everyone to give them a listen. Check them out via the link in my "About Me" section. The music video, by the way, was shot and directed by another B-town native, Christopher Baldi. Anyhow, Check them out, they rock.

Movies:

I don't get to the movies nearly as often as I would like to. The most recent movie I did see, however, was the Halloween remake by Rob Zombie. I am not a fan of remakes as they all too often just plain suck. But this one was done brilliantly. It wasn't a gore fest as you would expect from Rob like House and Devils Rejects. I have to say that it refreshing to watch a good horror movie that didn't depend exclusively on gore and special effects to make your stomach jump.

Television:

I love that new show Californication with David Duchovny. His character Hank Moody is the funniest and most brilliant thing that has been on television ever. He is brutally honest and it is a must watch for me. I also enjoy watching Dexter and Heroes. And of course, watching any NFL game is a given.

Books:

I have recently read Nineteen Eighty Four, The Calcutta Chromosome, and Snow Crash. I also read plenty of articles and other bits of nonsense too. Probably more than I should.

Heroes:

My heroes include first and foremost my Grandfather, who taught me how to be a man. But I have to send a special shout out to everyone in the military, specifically in the war. I believe that you all should get anything you would ever need once you come back; free health care, education, assistance, WHATEVER YOU NEED.
