I'm a mom, but my other life is as a violinist. I don't compose anything and I'm not on the cover of Rolling Stone, but I can play the hell out of my violin with pretty much anyone. I've played with Rod Stewart, Alicia Keyes, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Steve Perry, Clint Black, Reba McEntire, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Three Tenors, Twila Paris, Juan Gabriel, Charlie Zaa, and lots more but those were my favorite gigs. I am very priviledged to play with some of the best musicians in LA in jazz, rock, country, and classical. Now that my kids are getting older I'm starting to feel a new Renaissance in my life. I'm not playing anymore for the $$ (although 2 of my kids are in braces and we don't have ortho insurance) but for the sheer titilation of exploring new stuff.
Look, don't expect too much too soon! I'm trying to figure out this myspace stuff so I can keep an eye on my daughter and her friends.
I'll be having a pretty bitchin' space real soon, as soon as I can come up with 6,000 hours to sit at this computer like the rest of you!
