Born in the White Plains/Yonkers area, Mike Crafone grew up in Long Island, New York. A half Puerto Rican half Italian MC, Mike Crafone has been performing for over ten years and writing for even longer. His interest in writing rhymes came from his ability to make friends laugh with his comical freestyles.
Mike Crafone's personal philosophy on music is that it is "a gift used to educate and inspire people to activate change." His personal philosophy on life is that human beings are not separate in the grand scheme of things, but that "we are all connected and depend on one another to survive and function as a somewhat peaceful unit." "Unfortunately, we are spoon fed the notion that people are separated by tribes and groups that ultimately make one superior to the other."
His inspiration is his family and the people that support him through thick and thin. Even though he may have radical ideas about the world at times, these people still love and support him wholeheartedly and he appreciates them for it.
A producer as well, Mike Crafone does the majority of his own production while also working with a select group of "retardedly ill" musicians/beatmakers. His first solo album is due out soon and he is also working on a collaborative album with JMC and Lord P.
His goal is to lead a Godly lifestyle in order to succeed as both a family man and an artist.
