Jinae

16 year old “jinae” has taking her music as a way to express herself. At the age of nine, is when she decided to take her music seriously, once she performed for her school’s 4th grade Talent show. Awakening every audience member in the room her mother saw the same glow that she felt as a child growing up rapping. Coming up in an abusive home and struggling with the many aspects of negativity, she used her rhymes and way of performing through what she saw. Growing up listening to Kriss Kross, LL Cool J, Mc Lyte, along with many great artists of the early 90’s and late 80’s, she knew she could give a great plus to the Hip Hop Industry!
The day her mother tried to get the attention of her admired producer Jermiane Dupri, was the day she almost lost her mother. 97.9 Tha Box was holding a contest and whoever’s name was pulled would receive V.I.P passes to the party’s Jermiane would be and also meet and greet. As she spoke with Jermaine she asked the So So Def mascot to listen to Jinae’s demo and giver her daughter a chance. On the way back to Houston, they got into a wreck on a bridge in Atlanta.
As the back of the cab was hanging over the bridge, she realized that her life is dedicated to Christ only. Once she got back she sat Jinae down and told her that she was left to do her music on her own. Jinae figured as a 14 year old she could not do it on her own so she stepped away from her mic.
Two years later, Jinae has tired her best to be heard as many have showed her love with her music. Even though she had a few downfalls she only uses that as ammo to get to the top. Now organizing shows, record dates, along with juggling with jobs to pay for music, she is truly giving her all to make her dream come true, to make it!
