TEMPEST

February 2005. Five metalheads from Laguna decided to form a band that would satisy their urge to create relentless heavy metal and to uplift the local metal scene in their hometown in Los Banos. Hailing from UPLB, Tempest was founded by UP students Jeff Octaviano (guitar), Royal de Guzman (guitar) Miggy Ramos (drums) Ralph Morales (bass) and Epaeng Epilar (vocals). Drawing their influences from different sub genres of metal such as Gothenburg metal, Death metal, Thrash metal and Progressive metal, Tempest has created a unique sound worth lending your ears to.Since then, the band has performed with both underground and prominent metal bands such as Sin, Cog, Bloodshedd, Valley of Chrome to name a few. Other nonmetal bands include April Morning Skies, Imbue No Kudos, etc.Come 2008, the band and Royal de Guzman had come to a mutual decision to go on separate ways because of conflicts in schedule and work. It was then that they recruited one of Laguna's finest shredders, Karl Castillo.The band is now busy promoting their debut cd entitled "Stop the Killing".
