St. Yossarian

to live forever, or die trying

About Me

a work in progress.

My Interests

Passion. Science. All things human...and some things not. Transhumanism and the Singularity...what's necessary to make it happen, and what happens afterward.
For now...hanging out when it's gorgeous outside...or inside...big fan of the evening-long philosophical conversations that go off on tangents...geeking out, computers, digital photo/media editing, any and all games. Creativity and novelty...taking ideas and getting them into reality. Making new mental connections.
Ontological troublemaking, guerrilla memetics, science/art/magick/what-have-you, and assorted randomness for good measure.

Getting off of this planet, and out of this meat. Eventually.

I'd like to meet:

...like minds. different minds. anyone seriously interested in improving the human condition.
LJ: St. Yossarian
IM: Serendipity9x

Music:

covenant, radiohead, tori, pink floyd, (early!) garbage (2.0 and before...), delerium, amethystium, nin, prodigy, ani, astral projection, smashing pumpkins, beck, TMBG, GYBE!, autechre, massive attack, beethoven, bach, postal service, ellis, blue man group, dead can dance, orbital, sigur ros, aphex twin, kula shaker, assemblage 23, conjure one, etc.

my favorite song is the one that'll be in your head tomorrow.

Current Fascination(s): Gregorian chant, actually.

Movies:

Silence of the Lambs, Schizopolis, Fight Club, American Beauty, Kill Bill, Shawshank Redemption, etc...

Television:

grew up on Star Trek and PBS...explains a bit... now...Zim, Simpsons, Adult Swim. Daily Show. Beginning a solid exploration of anime...Excel Saga and Full Metal Alchemist are both excellent. As is Ebichu. Robot Chicken made me smile....and even though only Charlie and I like it, Wonder Showzen's good too. Holy crap, Willow. Thank you for introducing me to the insanity that is Vermillion Pleasure Night. Buffy/Angel as well.
...get most of my tv off the internet or dvd, and that's the way I likes it. Also, I would buy pretty much anything from Precious Roy.
