I have a friend and her name is Sandy. Sandy and I go back to Kindergarten. She sends me messages with no way to respond. Her My Space site is private and I can’t send a message back unless she adds me as a friend. That is my girl Sandy.
After 25 years in the Astronautical business, I left AeroJet in December 04 to help my family. My parents aging and weary, I moved from Sacramento, CA to Collinsville, OK to become a patient advocate, social worker and financial representative for a sibling.
My brother diagnosed with a cognitive heart defect (Ventricular septal defect) at the age of 35 in 1998 resulting in severe Pulmonary Hypertension. This required a Double Lung Transplant and Heart repair in one operation. In August 05, three weeks after getting on the transplant list, two weeks after moving to Seabrook, TX to be close to the hospital in Houston we got the call on Tuesday at 3pm and 15 hours later, it was over.
Two and a half years later, my brother suffers from laziness, overweight, and high cholesterol like any other coach potato. I shall not over see the purchase of a new Lazy Boy chair.
I have slain some tigers I had by the tail in my day, however; my heart goes out to anyone willing to take on such an intrepid endeavor.
I am, currently assigned to the Overton Brooks VAMC here in Shreveport, semi retired and making damn good money.
