Paul Williams Sr. of The Temptations from the Motown Record label. He started out in the early sixties, with his fellows Eddie Kendricks and Kel Osbourne from Birmingham, Alabama, with the group Primes and their sister-group Primettes (later known as The Supremes), in Detroit Motor City. When Osbourne were moving to California, and the group disbanded, they moved back to Alabama. But later returned to Detroit after they learned that their Rivals, and future friends Otis Williams group; the Distants had two open spots in their Line-up. They formed the group Elgins with Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Elbridge Bryant, Paul Williams and Eddie Kendricks.
