In the late 90's two rappers going by the names of, Shane "Didwell" Gregory and Nickel 5, relocated from the Northeast to Miami, FL. They soon began to build a soulful and funky live sound around them to complement their already established lyrical prowess. The Linx, which they became known as, began performing with a live band around South Florida. Around the same time they added, Alej, a soulful vocalist to the group. They have been honored twice in the Johnn Lennon Songwriting Competion. Opened for such acts as Biz Markie, Pitbull, The Alkoholiks, The Skatalites, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Their first album, "Loose Change," was released in 2005 and has received much acclaim.
