Influences: This is the album that almost wasn't. Mid-way through this project I came close to losing my life due to a carotid arterial dissection. Obviously, God spared me. However, one thing I did lose was my voice. For a time, I did not know whether or not I would ever talk above a raspy whisper, much less sing again. It would be almost a year before I had anything resembling a speaking voice, and another six months more until I could sing a note. And so I dedicate this CD to the Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy, grace, and healing. I pray it will bless you and encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
The Cross Changes Everything was mastered by Steve Smith who has worked with such artists as Van Halen, The Eagles, Heart, Candlebox and many more. I was blessed to work with so many of my friends and family including performances from Les Carlsen, Oz Fox, Paul Jackson, Mark Welling, Paul Michael Bloodgood, Jeff McCormack, Phil Curry, Don Garberg, and others.
The album is a worship CD that includes my own originals, some non-traditional approaches to older music, along with more contemporary songs I have rearranged by artists such as Matt Redmond and Terry Clark.
Stylistically, this CD has a lot of different styles ranging from the Beatles and rockabilly, to, you guessed it, heavy metal. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

REVIEWS:
This CD is an absolute delight! There is such an interesting selection of music on here that's impossible to get bored. Every song is different than the one before it.
The Holy Spirit pours out of this Christ-centered worship album. The Cross Changes Everything is a powerful worship song that stirs the heart. Old standards are given new life. I'll Fly Away is just so much fun to listen to. The production is crisp and clean.
If you're looking for a new metal album from Bloodgood, this isn't it. But, if you're looking for a lively, fun filled, album of praise and worship music you can't go wrong. I suggest that you order two copies. You'll want to bless the worship leader in your church with a copy.
