Grew up in Southern California began writing songs as a teenager. Joined the service and moved back to California after being discharged. Followed the folk rock/ country rock vein for a while until I saw Randy Hansen do a Jimi Hendrix tribute. Which at that time was a pretty unique idea so I got some freinds together and formed Strange Daze a Tribute to the Doors. This was a far cry from my musical roots but we did a good job and toured the country and Canada for a few years.
But I eventually wanted to get back to writing. I spent many years opening as a solo act with people like Steppenwolf, Julian Lennon, Bonnie Rait, Arlo Guthrie, Emerson Lake and Palmer, etc.
But now back to the basics of song writing.
UPDATE: 08/22/08
The Aug 29, 2008 show marks 30 years from starting my first band. A long strange trip. And full circle.
Update: Jan 2009. I realize that I have musical multiple personalities so I decided to span the spectrum on my music player. So we go from Folk Rock to Rock to Metal with a recording I did with Icon. So some of you will like some songs but maybe not others. It is my belief that if you become so focused that you become boring.
