..I am a university professor (teaches the history of media, politics and cinema, and interpersonal communication). I also write books about film and politics (Reelpolitik series), file a bi-weekly newspaper opinion column (Ventura County Star) and am frequently asked to speak to groups about politics, history or film. I am happily married to an elected official, have two grown sons (one works at MySpace as well as writes best-selling books (Everybody Hurts) while the other works for Countrywide (Fort Worth) and a stepson (Air Force officer), daughter-in-law (pharmacy assistant) and grandson (very bright 6 year old). My hubby and I adopted a Yorkshire Terrier named Chloe who is the greatest anti-depressant on the market. She got the hang of remaining incognito in a large, well ventillated purse and has traveled all over the country by plane, train and automobile. We have smuggled her into at least 50 restaurants as well as dozens of hotels, stores, and movie theaters. She loves to visit my classes where the students wait patiently until I have finished lecturing to pull her out of her bag and take her for a walk. I post commentaries about flying with my husband("Cessna Chronicles,') in addition to my bi-weekly columns at the Ventura County Star and travel logs on a Typepad blog called "Reelpol" (beverlykelley.typepad.com/my_weblog/)
