Debra was 9 years old when she began singing, singing in the church choir, Berkeley High School Gospel Choir, and at Center of Hope Church in Oakland, CA, astounding the audience with her vocal ability. Her love for the Gospel and music was the perfect combination.Debra is a Praise and Worship leader at Center of Hope, under the leadership of Bishop E. C. Reems Dickerson and Pastors Brondon and Maria Reems. Debra is launching her career as a solo artist and a songwriter. Her new release Prodigal Son, and Trust in God are written based on her personal experiences the song" Prodigal Son "reminds parents that God will take care of his/her child. She has a passion for hurting parents. The song is a direct reflection of growing up in a church setting. "I Trust in God" is based on a personal experience when Debra knew God but had to really trust in God for some of the difficult times that had encountered in her life. "Thank You Lord for Being With Me" is a song that is simply a song telling God Thank You for where his has taken her and moving her forward.Debra's vision is to help others who have been through different things in life, like herself and let them know that God can bring them out just like He did her and leading them to Christ.
