Infernal Creation

About Me

Infernal Creation are an extreme metal band from Hull, taking hints from Black, Thrash and Death Metal. Started sometime in the winter of 2004 under the guise of Nacht-Licht/Elixer, the members were Sin on lead guitar and vocals, Neiphrobous on vocals, Baphomet on rhythm guitar and Deimos on bass. However, things didn’t start going fully until we managed to bring Bastard into the fold as the drummer.
We set out to merge black, death, extreme and trash into a whirlwind of dark metal as the first track we conjured together was born and dubbed the Prophet of the Black Sun (albeit a shorter and less accomplished version than the one played today).
Later that year we departed ways with Deimos, he went on to play guitar for various extreme metal bands from Hull including Kryptic Slaughter. After a few months we recruited Todeslicht into our ranks on Bass. Then in the summer of 2005 we moved to the House of Metal (Green Central) rehearsal rooms, which housed the likes of LeShed, Dumpvalve, Multiple Injuries, Eternal Night and Planet 10. With this move to a better practice room we changed our name to Your Demise. The new surroundings gave us more room to breathe and more time to spend on the music and creating tracks such as Augury and The Spirit.
Your Demise started gigging in September 2005. However, by this time Baphomet had left the band to devote time to his personal life, but later on in the year he would return to play Spirit with us on stage at the Apocalypse night.
For various reasons we decided it was time to change our name and after a while of drafting ideas for a name that would represent our music accurately Bastard put forward a name to describe the vehemence contained within our songs of metal forged from misanthropy. So it was, at our first Halloween gig we unveiled that name, our new moniker Infernal Creation. We continued to gig throughout 2006 gaining in strength and creating new songs such as Blitzkrieg and Hellbound with only a few rough incidents, notably Neiphrobous having food poisoning and vomiting over White Room's stage. To his credit, Neiphrobous continued to scream his way through Quis Contra Nos.
Then, in late 2006/early 2007 Todeslicht decided to call it quits, returning to his home town in Halifax due to personal reasons. (Todeslicht is continuing to create his on dark music which can be viewed in IC’s friends list below). Being left without a rhythm guitarist and no bassist meant the album and gigging had to go on hold indefinitely!
We used this time to expand on existing material, letting it evolve into what it is today and letting other songs fade into obscurity such as Augury and Abysmal Creation.
In February 2007, we were joined by Vetala who took the mantle of rhythm guitarist, adding the extra aggression needed to enhance our sound and play them the way they were written (with duel guitars), something we had been searching for for over a year. A few months later Vetala was joined by our original and returning bassist Deimos who had put down his guitar and once again take up his bellowing bass in Infernal Creation.
New material was written and we were developing on our sound as well as planning for the road ahead. Then just before our planned return gig in September '07, disaster struck. Our drummer Bastard severed his thumb in a guillotine accident, which meant we had to cancel the gig immediately. With the thumb being lost almost at the knuckle there was a possibility that he may not be able to play again, let alone with the same ferocity expected from a skilled behemoth like Bastard. Infernal withdrew to the darkness of our basement practice room once more.
In December 2007 Infernal Creation returned to the stage finally and attacked every venue we came across.
The demo "Visions of a bleeding sky" was recorded in May 2008, durning this time we also parted ways with Vetala. The split was amicable and Vetala has left with a view to create other musical projects.
In September 2008 Mark "The Bard" (Guthrum/Northern Terror and formely the guitarist of Ravenage) joined Infernal on rhythm guitar.
