I am here for Friends

About Me

One of the best things about life is that we each can give any purpose to our existence that we want. If you want lots of candy in life-- then you can make getting rich your purpose. If vehicles are what turn your crank--then make racing cars your purpose. If you love children, you can make raising a family your purpose. The thing that I love to do the most is learn, so the purpose I've chosen for my life is improving myself. To that end, I've attended college twice studying five subjects--philosophy, computer science, theology, history, and anthropology, and I've spent most of the rest of my adult life teaching myself. I've learned a couple of things along the way-- First, each of us is connected to everything we experience and see in a way that we have the freedom to define. If you define that connection as a set of problems, then your life will be nothing but problems. If you define that connection as an adventure, then your life will be full of exciting and fulfilling experiences. What you get out of life quite literally depends very much on what you put into it. Second, the absolute best things in life are all very, very small and very simple. A kind word from a stranger. The touch of your lover. A good conversation with a close friend. Your cat purring beside you. These are all examples of the best that life on planet earth has to offer.
