Nasce come musicista nell'84 al solo primo ascolto di Jump dei Van Halen. Inizia a studiare subito dopo, presso il Q14 in coverciano con il trombettista Duccio Zannone per poi iniziare a militare nelle prime mini-rockband del quartiere. Nell'88 si iscrive alla scuola di musica"Accademia musicale di Firenze"dove consugue l'attestato di frequenza nell'98. Durante gli anni Accademici incontra, prima come docenti poi come amici,illustri insegnanti di livello internazionali come Ares Tavolazzi(Area)Gianni Zei(Europe Jazz session-man)Alessandro Galati(Peter Erskine)e il più grande dei batteristi Piero Borri(Europe Jazz session-man). Precedentemente suona con musicisti di vario genere nell'underground fiorentino maturando un notevole interesse per il genere rock-progressive.Coltivando sempre le sue radici hard-rock entra suo malgrado a far parte di band plurime.
