Lucretia Choir was started a few years ago by Melanie Baxter and Jason Duffy.
The original line up was: Jason Duffy on Guitar, Melanie on bass and Scott Clyde on drums.
The band found it difficult to find the right singer and second guitarist and was therefore on and off for a while.
Although the band played covers to start out, the direction ahead was always original material.
A big change in the band came when guitarist Scott Carson joined. At this time it was decided that there would be no more hunting for singers as Melanie would fill this role. Melanie and Scott Carson also started writing together.
It was also around this time that Jason left the band for personal reasons. He remains goods friends with the band.
Singing and playing bass proved tricky so Melanie decided to look for a bass player. With this decision Raymond came along (a mutual friend of both Melanie and Scott Carson). With Raymond joining the line up was complete... for a while... until Scott Carson had some doubt about whether being in a band was for him. He stayed to record the demo then left to follow his own path.
With Scott leaving it felt like they were back to square one but they kept looking and finally found Jac.
Which brings us to the present day.
