About Me

How happy is the blameless Vestal's lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd.

My Interests

Movies, baseball, video games, cursing, writing, drawing, painting, shootin' pool, peeping in windows, photography, comedy shows, good conversation, driving drunk on the sidewalk (were those garbage cans back there?), moving my lips while I read, dirty jokes, literature, traveling, and whatever you like. I'd like to meet:

The guy from the Appliance Direct commercials 'cause I'm gonna need a new washer and dryer soon. Oh, and Ghandi. I'm probably more likely to meet the appliance guy though, so I better keep aiming low.

Music:

U2, A Perfect Circle, Sia, Coldplay, Eminem, Alice In Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elliott Smith, the Offspring, Alkaline Trio, Cake, Nirvana, Dropkick Murphys, Elvis, Roy Orbison, NIN, Tool, the Killers, Massive Attack, Snow Patrol, Sublime, Fiona Apple, Jack Johnson, Damien Rice, Beck, Mazzy Star, Modest Mouse, Rage Against the Machine, the Outfield, Rob Dougan, Stone Temple Pilots, 311, Radiohead, Death Cab For Cutie, the Fray, Beck, Maroon 5, Massive Attack, OK GO, Gnarls Barkley, Prodigy, Slipknot, Sublime, Audioslave, David Gray, don't long lists like this just make you wretch, Shakira, Gary Allan, Pete Yorn, Metallica, Mozart, Marilyn Manson, Natasha Bedingfield, the Pixies, Rancid, Third Eye Blind, do I hate anything?, and any rap or hip-hop song no greater than three weeks old. There's much more than that which I like. My ipod currently has about 2200 songs on it and I'm finding something new everyday.

Movies:

Cold Mountain, Closer, Alien 1-3, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the 1st Matrix (not the other two), the Birdcage (because flamboyant homosexuals make me laugh), Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny (closest thing to a musical that I can tolerate), Borat, Stranger Than Fiction, Me Myself and Irene, City of God, the Departed, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Reservoir Dogs, Old School, Seven, Office Space, Rushmore, the Color of Money, movies with Zombies in them, Super Troopers, A Bronx Tale, Good Will Hunting, Napolean Dynamite, movies directed by Martin Scorsese are a must see, As Good As It Gets, Scent of a Woman, Unforgiven, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Big Lebowski, Wedding Crashers, anything with Robert DeNiro, and many many more.

Television:

Here's the really important part, the TV shows. Lost, Sopranos, Family Guy, Orange County Choppers, Simpsons, Rome, South Park, Reno 911, just about anything on Comedy Central, the Appliance Direct Commercials (that Asian guy never gets old) and Six Feet Under

Books:

Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five", John Fowles' "The Magus", "How to Suppress Women's Writing" by some lady (this book actually tells you how to silence women. What a useful how-to book), John Fowles' "The Collector", some more books you don't care about, Chuck Palahniuk's "Fight Club", do movies with subtitles count? Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray", Hunter S. Thompson's "The Rum Diary", Alexander Dumas' "The Count of Monte Cristo", Lois Lowry's "The Giver", who reads anymore anyway?, Albert Camus' "the Stranger", Margaret Atwood's "Oryx and Crake", Mikhail Bulgakov's "The Master and Margarita", works by Edgar Allan Poe, more works by inconsequential dead people, Hunter S.
