I feel like I need to shake things up in my life; I'd like to meet someone who can do that. So far no luck. *sigh* As far as famous people, Living: The Dalai Lama, John Frusciante, Dita Von Teese, Henry Kissinger, Kevin Smith, PJ Harvey, Pedro Almodovar, Barak Obama, Anderson Cooper. Dead: Anne Sexton, Dorothy Parker, Pope John Paul II.
Let's see, where to start? I know I've already mentioned I like PJ Harvey, but honestly, the woman freakin' amazes me! I'm also currently really infatuated with City and Colour. Have you heard them yet? They're in my top friend's list, and I've been listening to Sometimes and The MySpace Transmissions, and I'm just in awe. Dallas Green is amazing! UPDATE: I just bought Bring You My Love, the iTunes Sessions, and the three City and Colour videos that are available on iTunes. Yep, I'm officially a stalker! LOL I also listen to Joy Division, Ozo Matli, nil8, Blind Melon, Nina Simone, Cake, The Legendary Shack Shakers, Creech Holler, Jeff Zentner, Garbage, The Killers, Hank Williams Sr. & III, Wayne Hancock, J.B. Oooh, ooh, ooh, I forgot: I adore Bob Mould - I love his work with Husker Du, with Sugar, and his solo work. I can't wait until his autobiography comes out!

I'm currently totally enchanted with Pushing Daisies. I'm finishing up the first season on DVD and am tuning in for the second season on Wednesday nights on ABC. Besides that, Gossip Girl, ANTM, Anderson Cooper 360, sports (yes, I am a sports junkie, except for baseball - boring!).
I'm still not reading as much as I should be. I re-read A Clockwork Orange for the book club, then didn't go to the meeting, like the total dork that I am. Maybe next month. Some of my other favorites are: Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, Skinny Legs And All by Tom Robbins, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, The Secret History by Donna Tart, London Fields by Martin Amis, A Touch Of Grace by Maria Doria Russell, Horton Hears A Who by Dr. Seuss, all of the Harry Potter Books, Raymond Carver, Anne Sexton, The Dalai Lama, George Orwell, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Pablo Neruda, Naguib Mahfouz, Pema Chodron, Clive Barker, so many more I love and didn't list.
