About Me

Michael Wolf received his first drum set, at the age of five. As a young drummer he honed his skills in the world of Rock and Roll by playing the works of his idols, Rock legends, Bill Bruford, John Bonham, Daniel Seraphine, and Phil Collins. At the age of fifteen, he co founded the original rock band Delirium Theory. As the original drummer and lyricist for the band, they were semifinalists in the 1998 Big Shout Magazine Music Festival. He was the drummer on the CD submitted for the 2000 Big Shout Magazine Music Festival, in which the band was again semifinalists. This same CD also took the band to sixth place in the 2000 M T V Cover Band Competition. In the fall of 2002, Michael was invited to join the original nu metal band Chemical Dependency. The band was invited to play the 2003 Dewey Beach Music Festival and were nominated for best original cd on Best of Philly. Com. The band was featured on Philadelphia radio station’s 93.3 WMMR and 94.1 WYSP, Baltimore’s 97.9 Rock, and Harrisburg’s 105.3 the X.Since 2004, Michael has played with The Red Alert Band, one of the most popular party bands in the Tristate area. Rocking the house with a little R&B and a lot of Funk, the band comprises professional musicians who have toured the world with stars like Patti Labelle and the Stylistics.Michael has played recently at the TSOP Club, and The Sands in Atlantic City, NJ, The Zu and The Crossroads in Baltimore, MD, The Deerpark in Newark, DE, Kelly’s Logan House and The Coliseum in Wilmington, DE.Ryan Mullen from Big Shout Magazine called his style, mind numbing. The editor from Lionhunter Services said, "With every beat Michael exudes a passion that literally overtakes the audience. Add to this his energetic stage presence, making Michael one of the best drummers on the east coast. In addition to all of this Michael is an accomplished writer and is very adept in translating thoughts from his heart into lyrics that will simply blow you away."Progressive rock continues to be Michael’s musical preference, heavily influenced by Jazz and Rhythm and Blues, deriving inspiration from his inner strength and well-crafted creativity.
