Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my site. My name is Justin Bagley, I'm an evolutionary biologist. Currently, I am working on my PhD in Integrative Biology at Brigham Young University. Mainly, my research focuses on using intraspecific gene trees, population genetic summary statistics and models, and statistical phylogeographical models to understand the distribution and diversification of lineages through space and time. This work centers on enhancing our understanding of the processes shaping regional freshwater fish biodiversity in Lower Central America (LCA). Other research projects I am currently pursuing include alpha taxonomy and species delimitation, phylogenetic systematics, community ecology, and macroecology of New World freshwater fishes and salamanders. I am also interested in popularization of science, including educating the public about evolution, aquatic biodiversity, and conservation, and initiating dialogues about the relationship between evolution and religion. If you haven't been to my site in awhile, don't worry; neither have I!
