i love being lost in a reverie, going on little hikes with just my dogs, food...cooking it and eating it, i love children's art, family, good conversation is foreplay, looking at atlases and planning my escape, getting dressed up to trip the light fantastic, and throw a lot of work in there.

so many all depending on my mood......queens of the stone age, bloc party, split lip rayfield, rev. horton heat, 10,000 maniacs, hope sandoval, mazzy star, the sundays, damian rice, outcast, ericka badu, elo, gang of four, the greenhornes, gwen stefani, interpol, the kinks, morphine, bjork, modest mouse, radiohead, portishead, natalie merchant, norah jones, bob marley, the shins, ass ponys, billie holiday, the flaming lips. i couldn't possibly name them all. i have to be very careful of music i listen to. some can make me depressed. some can make me feel like a jet setter. some can make me want to be on the front porch drinking. some can make me want to run far away. some can make me fall in love with the world. some make me wanna shake my booty. some make me want to get "busy". some can make me cry. you get the picture. any old school italian singer my dad listened to when i was little can bring me right back to those days.
OY VEY! where do i start, in the name of the father, there will be blood, donnie darko, true romance, the devil and daniel johnston, secretary, cecil b. demented, yesterday, my left foot (i'm in love with daniel day lewis.) jakie brown, no country for old men, magdalene sisters, station agent, vera drake, elephant man, fear and loathing in las vegas, basquiat, marie antoinette, paris je t'aime, office space, chris rocks stand up bigger and blacker, napoleon dynamite, welcome to the dollhouse, happiness, shortcuts, the royal tennebaums, ushpizn, even though they stir something vile in me i love/hate david lynch films. i've seen eraserhead twice and vowed never to watch it again.
i don't have cable or rabbit ears.....so i end up watching wheel of fortune, jeopardy, and then a movie from netflix. :)
not much of a reader...although my favorite book ever was 1984....
