Paul has spent many years working as a studio and touring musician and has worked all over Britain, Ireland and Europe on numerous projects. Whilst specialising in guitar and bass, he plays a number of instruments in the recording of his music. Here we get a taste of some of his acoustic and folk orientated songs but he is equally at home writing and performing more experimental compositions. He has worked alongside hundreds of artists over the years including The Pogues, Kirsty MacColl, The Men They Couldn't Hang, The Steven Finn Band, Celtic/world band Citizen Swing, Sean Regan and David Smylie (Toss The Feathers), indie/pop band Clime, jazz/blues outfit The Backscratchers and many others. He has also had work produced by the legendary producer, Martin Hannett. The songs here span a number of years and genres and reflect the diversity of artists Paul has written for. Here are some of the latest reworkings mastered and mixed by Martin Mittler (The Zutons, The Bees, Damien Rice etc). Also featured here is the amazing Mat Walklate on vocals and harmonica whom Paul toured extensively with in the nineties. Paul is presently playing on and producing work by songwriters such as Tom Mitchell at his home studio in Manchester as well as writing some instrumental stuff for TV.
