Jorge Pasaye Gonzalez
Jorge Pasaye was born on May the 18th of 1956 at Pomacuaran, Michoacan - MEXICO, son of Ernestina Gonzales and Maurilio Pasaye from whom he inherit the art of guitar crafting as a familiy Legacy.
Jorge had a really hard childhood, in an economic way, so he was forced to leave school to start working.
Here is a brief History of Jorge Pasaye.
1966.- At the age of 10 he started to work with his father in guitar crafting, doing simple duties like sand down, pasting tooths, all of this working on acoustic guitars and diferent duties.
1969.- At the age of 13 he hand crafted his first acoustic guitar, working with his father for Guitarras GILB.
1970.- At the age of 14he moves to Tijuana where he begans to work with his uncle Miguel Pasaye on fine guitars of really high quality, working with materials of Paloscrito, Paloboca, wich was the most exclusive material at the time.
1971.- Started working with his father at their own workshop of the same craftsman as previous works.
1972.- Starts working on acoustic and classical guitars for workshop "CANDELAS" on wich he had the agreedment of doing one guitar per month in order to pay his house bills.
1974.- At this year, Jorge moves to Los Angeles to work with a company by the name of "BERNARDOS GUITAR SHOP", where he started to work on Classical and Flamenco Guitars.
1976.- Jorge Pasaye worked at " BERNARDOS GUITAR SHOP" whom will later be the well known "B.C. Rich" company, where he witnessed the creation of the very first "B.C. Rich" electric guitar.
1977.-In this Year "Bernardos Guitar Shop" changed name to "B.C. Rich" and Jorge worked for them, crafting Country Guitars.
1985.- By this date the company suffers a lot of changes and Jorge with a partner is asigned to the Custom Made department. Here jorge stayed for a long time getting a lot of experience on Acoustic Guitars and Electric Guitars.
1993.- In his year Jorge decides to return to his country and starts working on his own business, he started creating Bajosextos.
In the present date, Jorge Pasaye is one of the Best Guitar Crastman in Tijuana, without a doubt. He can create any design you can come up with.
