So where do I begin? My name is Tara, I'm 27, live in Bear DE with my best friend, and love of my life Tony. We have two dogs who our are babies. I work full time at a local children's hospital as a Unit Clerk on the inpatient Hematology/Oncology unit, and also work part time as an office secretary. I have decided that I am ready to back to school to finish getting my RN degree, and plan on doing this starting in September of 08! I am very close with my family, and don't know what I would do with out them. I also have the best group of friends that a girl could ask for. I'm a country girl at heart, love country music, country line dancing, big trucks, and Wrangler butts! I am also a romantic, love roses, sunsets and the beach. In my free time, I like to do volunteer work for the American Cancer Society by helping with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Daffodil Days and my fav...Relay For Life. I am also working with the Childhood Cancer Orginization Curesearch to bring a Childhood Cancer Awareness Walk to the Riverfront in Wilmington De this September. On Dec 31, 2007 I was diagnosed with RSD. It has been hard, but also a blessing in disguise. I have learned how strong I am, physcially and mentally. Yes I have chronic pain, but I am not going to let it get me down. For info please read my RSD blog.

My Interests

I love to spend time with Tony, usually hanging at home watching TV or movies, or playing the Wii. I also like to spend time with my family hanging out at my moms house playing card or board games, or taking day trips to the mountains or beach. We also will travel to go see a great concert, even if it takes us more than a few hours to get there. I also have some great friends that I love to spend time with, whether it be going out to lunch or dinner, playing rockband, or just having some "girl's time". When not doing any of those things, I love to read books, spend time surfing the net, and watching Dale Jr race in the Nascar cup.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet up with people from my past, old friends, and anyone that I share the same interests with. I love meeting new people, and I think you can never have enough friends!!! I would like to meet my Grandpa Brown. He died when my mom was 12, and I think it would be neat to meet him. When it comes to famous people I would love to meet Jake Owen, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Jason Micheal Carroll, and a lot of other country music artists. There really are too many to name.

I like all music, espcially country. To name a few of my favorites: Rodney Atkins, Jake Owen, Drew Davis Band (DDB), Kenny Chesney, Neal McCoy, Craig Morgan, Trent Tomlinson, Daughtry, Nickleback, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Clay Walker, Lady Antebellum, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jason Micheal Carroll, Jason Aldean and much much more!!!!

Movies:

I like all types of movies, romantic, scary, drama, comedy, I like them all. My favorite movies are Gone With The Wind, Dirty Dancing, August Rush, Beauty and the Beast, Sweet Home Alabama, 13 Going on 30, Eragon and The Notebook. As long as there is a good story, and a little romance it will hold my attention.

I love the smutty romance novels. Nora Roberts is the best! I also like to read vampire romance novels written by Lynsay Sands. Julia Quinn writes some great historical romance books.

Heroes:

My hero is my nephew Dusty Patrick. At 10 years of age he was considered to be cured of cancer. He is my hero and my inspiration for all most everything that I do. All kids with childhood cancer inspire me. Anyone who has fought cancer, or taken care of a loved won with cancer.
