Update: June 08â€™ of last year, Half Innocent was formed of intentions of writing an album, an album that meant something. With nine songs added to the story line we ran into one problem, Cadenâ€™s departure in early June of 09â€™. Caden will be moving to New Jersey for the summer. Due to Cadenâ€™s departure, we had to drop out from the studio. It would be useless putting nine great songs to waste so we decided we are still going to record Welcome to America. We'll be recording all of June and hope to complete it by July. Battle of the bands on May 15th will be our last show and it will be a good one, come out to support us! Get ready and hope to see you there!
We needed something different, a band name that stands for what we believe in, a name that meant something. Everyone is born innocent or free from evil and sin but depending on how we react to society, can change our innocence in a negative way. Now a days it seems like at least 90% of American teens feel the need to fit in and be like everyone else whether it includes the music they listen to or the way they dress. Why does everyone feel the need to be like everyone else and why canâ€™t everyone just be themselves? Itâ€™s all a game. The people who are different and remained themselves are constantly being pushed down by the people who tag along with the crowd. (conformists) And so everyone wonders why these individuals are the way they are.
