antihero

hello world....

About Me

antihero was formed in September 2004 by Craig Klopper and Lee Schoevers. In late December 05 and after what seemed like an eternity and many auditions, the band recruited Michael Jamieson to take care of the all important bass duties. The 3 band members have a VERY wide palette of musical taste! Craig draws most of his inspiration from alternative & progressive rock, 80s synth pop & trance music. Most of Lees influences are taken from the grunge, alternative & modern rock genres, while Mike is a real child of the 80s being a fan of the sub-pop, Goth & glam-rock 80s culture. The band plays a mix of slow, soft, hard & fast and dont like to limit themselves to trends or any one specific genre. Their sound is best described as alt-rock. antihero are based in Auckland and aim to gain a reputation & following through regular gigging and releasing their first single off their self-funded debut EP into the glasshouse.
