South Capitol Recordings is an indie record label owned by Rapper-Songwriter Larry Pretlow II (CEO), professionally known as LaPret. The indie label is in the business of releasing records for the developing recording artist. The label’s ultimate goal for each Recording Artist is to obtain a major recording contract for each of its Recording Artists.
Recording Artists are required to invest in their own projects until they have established a steady income by way of both performing and consistent record sales, meanwhile all contributions made by the recording artists are “amazingly affordable”. All finances collected from the artist go directly to the projects and ventures set for that artist.
South Capitol, releases are solely released in digital-only format either in the US or worldwide through iTunes and other major retailers; this is possible through an excusive distribution agreement. CD format is also offered yet only for well-established Recording Artist who are well on their way to the Major League.
South Capitol Recordings works closely with G.O.V. Studios in Greenbelt, MD and Night Flight Recordings Studios in Ft. Washington, MD. All selections performed by our Recording Artists are either written or co-written by the Chief Songwriter and Executive Producer LaPret. When an artist is in the process of recording an EP or Album, additional songwriters and producers are assigned to both the Recording Artist and the project.
In conclusion, South Capitol Recordings is in the business of helping unsigned Recording Artists who are in development and are more than likely to obtain Major Recording Contracts & Deals, with the right decision-making and nourishments, in the process of doing so.
