I believe we are all unique expressions of God. I struggle & wrestle w my human flesh, but my faith in Jesus is unshakable & steadfast.I know lots of ppl say this, but in my case it's truuuue!...I have the BEST family & the BEST friends! My sisters are my friends. My friends are my sisters. And my nieces & nephews...it's possible my heart can feel this full?I am a bit of a feminist, but only b/c we live in a patriarchal society. If you use the word "mankind," I WILL label you. And if we need to say WNBA, why not say MNBA too? My dear, dear fellow ladies, just b/c you have a boyfriend/husband, don't ditch your girlfriends!Admittedly, I am a bit spoiled, dramatic, & indecisive....which I blame on my birth order; I'm the youngest. I'm clumsy; I break a lot of shoes. Dancing is an excuse to get crazy. Rules are made to be broken. Wellll, some. My New Year's resolution? Make my bed daily & stop spending so much on my credit cards. But I liiiike immediate gratification!I'm a social worker for foster children. Not only am I amazed by our children's resiliency, but also I am blessed to be part of something so meaningful. And laughter truly IS the best therapy.I've been in love once, the head over heels, love is blind, he-can-do-no-wrong-and-even-if-he-does-I-don't-care kind. "They can never define what's been said between your heart & mine." Love can make you feel like you're floating on a cloud 1 min & like you've been hit by a bus the next.I try not to regret anything. I think God presents us w situations we need growth in...find the value & blessing in each experience, even if that blessing falls on someone else.Single? Be happy single. Married? Be happy married. People tend to think the grass is greener on the other side. It's not!! Don't waste--live!! With content! What you judge or hate in others is likely reflecting what you judge or hate in yourself.Life is a precious gift. If you're miserable or don't love what you do, find your purpose & change something. If you can't change the circumstance, change your perception. Life DOES NOT have to be hard! What you give out in the world, you will receive in return. If you want something, be it, i.e., want world peace, be peace. ASK for what you want. God WANTS us to be happy, & likely He will give you above and beyond what you could ever ask or think.Fear not--take risks...no failures, just building of strength & character.To be vulnerable is a great, great virtue. Many people spend their lives trying not to be vulnerable. I'm vulnerable & I can handle it.Be free! Be true to you....always!!!!
