This is in the first instance a fanpage about two of the greatest canadian women in the world ... obviously .
So all who loves Tegan and Sara as much as I do are welcome !!!
But it's also dedicated to some other great artists and musicians of the 'queer/lesbian-music-culture' , as I call it myself.
Because most of the bands/artists you see on my page are female .... and of course ... you guess ... gay.

You'll love them ; )Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Kiersten Quin were born in Calgary, Alberta in Canada on September 19th, 1980. They are identical twins ( Tegan is 8 minutes older than Sara ). They start to take piano lessons when they..'re eight and teach themselves how to play the guitar at the age of 15. Calling themselves "Plunk" they write songs ( never together, until today the song writing process has been always an independent thing ! ) and record demo tapes at school and in their bedroom. 1998 "Plunk" wins the "Calgary's Garage Warz Battle of Bands" and with the trophy money of this competition they go into a studio to tape the "Yellow Demo". Out of High-School they do two more demos, the "Orange Tape" and the "Red Tape". Known under the name of "Sara and Tegan" they play shows and do small tours in Canada. Still under the name "Sara and Tegan" they release their first record "Under Feet Like Ours" in 1999. In 2000 they sign a record deal with “vapor". In the same year they release their second cd "This Business of Art" under the name of "Tegan and Sara". "If it was you" follows only two years later in August 2004. In these years Tegan and Sara tour with Neil Young, The Pretenders, Rufus Wainwright, Bryan Adams, Joan Osborne and Ryan Adams. They play at "Lilith Fair" festival ( both, Tegan as well as Sara are gay ), tour a lot in Canada and USA and make their first attempt at touring Europe and Japan. In 2004 they release "So Jealous", which is in 2005 the first available cd of Tegan and Sara in Germany !! They get nominated for a Juno, "The White Stripes" cover their song "Walking with a ghost" and they tour i. a. with The Killers and Hot Hot Heat. After a very very long tour ( 18 months !! ) across the USA, Canada, England and Australia they take a time off to work on a new album. In January 2007 they produce their fifth studio record with Chris Walla ( Death Cab For Cutie ) at his house and release it the same year. Since then Tegan and Sara are on road again. They tour a lot in USA, Canada, Europe ( even in Germany : D ) and UK, seems to be an endless tour ....... On their shows Tegan and Sara are renowned for their banter, 'cause they speak a lot on stage ! Besides their two released DVDs ( "It's not fun. Don't do it" - 2005 and "The Con - The Movie" - 2007 ) they make a lot of funny movies like "Trailer Talk" or "Backstage Bilingual". All things considered or all in one sentence: Tegan and Sara are something special and simply great and everybody should know them !!
