~ WHATS THE DE-GA GA??~
If any of you know actually know where that's from, I proudly salute you, because I LOVE that tv show. Even if it is basically unrealistic. Basically? I am a songwriter and a poet, a friend and an ally, an activist and a liberal. I live through my poetry and I absolutely love everything I've written... because my philosophy is that even if the poetry isn't good, it helps you to feel on such a greater level, that it doesn't matter what the outcome looks like. Live like no one is looking, and dance your heart out, not CARING if anyone is looking. Dance in the rain, live with the sinners, dream and actually accomplish your dreams.... learn to live your own life before you help others.
~ Who am I?~
I'm a reader, a poet, a pianist, a floutist, and an extremely fast typist. I like conversations that go somewhere, in a theoretical sense, and words that inspire your mind. Ways of life... my heart beats as a poet's does... I write my own form of poetry and it is absolutely amazing to be able to do that.
I want to play piano in a band.... but it'd have to be a band that i like, and you can't always find that when you want it. I love piano more than anything and writing music is my ultimate passion. No matter what I do in my life, music will always be a part of me, because I honestly don't think I could live without it.~What of My Life?~
Life has been interesting for me so far. I've been handed more good things than bad things, and I recognize that to myself, even if not to other people. I love music, the listening, making of it, and idolizing it. Music is the entirety of my soul. I don't know who I am yet, but I know that music is very important in my life. I hate school with a major passion. School isn't something I enjoy, but college is awesome in other respects.
I'm very familiar with a lot of aspects of our culture. Don't assume that just because I don't do it, I don't know a lot about it or haven't done it... I know that I can make a big deal out of little things, but I need to point out that I believe if I have the energy to fight things I believe in, I should fight for them.
Sure, by your definition, I'm probably a feminist. That however, does not mean I have no patience with men. I just have less motivation to resolve any issue that comes about. My life in general causes me to have a lot of different viewpoints on issues that the rest of the world sees differently. But if I argue? You truly must not expect me to hold back. Would you? Didn't think so.
~ What do I believe in? ~
Basically, I'll say this. I'm heavily interested in politics, and with that interest has given me stubbornness. If you say something I don't like, I'll generally tell you. Unless it's religiously based, cause I hate even bothering with that stuff.
~ Who do I want to be? ~
I like politics, history, and music. Currently I'm a history major. As of now? I can't predict the future... but someday I want kids. I want to be with someone who understands my passion for life and my urge to survive within my own boundaries. I want to live in the real, and I don't want to pretend to be who I am.I want to be a social worker. I don't know when, I don't know where, and I don't know in what capacity. But dammit, I'm gonna do it.
My dream is to run a shelter for teenagers who have been kicked out of their homes, for various reasons. I am increasingly aware of how difficult the cycle is to break for someone who does come from a struggling childhood, and I really want to help. Only if they want it, and to give them tools they wouldn't otherwise have.
~ WHERE DO I WORK????~
I work at the Student Health Center at Uconn. I absolutely LOVE my job and everything I do there. It's kind of crazy, kind of nutty, and you HAVE to love dealing with the supposed "ease" of peoplesoft, which amounts to hundreds of phone calls a day at the beginning of school. Working there is just absolutely AMAZING.All I do? Walk to work, put on headphones, file for a while, go answer some phones, fax some stuff, file for a while, type stuff in, listen to more music, type stuff in, and then go to the Student Union to remain in the RC for much of the second half of the day. WONDERFUL TIMES!
I also work with Rec. Services teaching Lifeguarding and CPR classes - woohoo - I love all my Red Cross training so PFFT don't say I'm a dork for it. I love life, thats the way it is.

Matt- you mean the world to me, I think you pretty much know that. You're the absolute opposite of me, and there is nothing better than having you around. Love you always.
Justin- Little freshman, I love you so much. Not only do you always smell good and have the softest skin ever, you are always there to talk to, and I hope I am there for you.
Mike and Allen- I love you to death, no matter what happens. Kiss kiss.
Chris- Im so glad we've gotten closer - and now we even live in the same building, lol. I'll always be there for you, even if we aren't watching Noah's Ark at the time. :)
Shannon, Abby, Caroline, Angie - You guys have been there for me for years. I know we don't see each other that much anymore, but its amazing that I can call you for the first time in weeks, or months even - we'll pick up right where we left off. I hope you guys know that I always think about you and having you in my life is a great strength to me. You are people I truly know that I can count on and carry with me for many years to come.
