Leaving Fort Lumber

About Me

Leaving Fort Lumber was formed in September 2007 by four full-fledged musicians with connections in the past. Eager to communicate a blend of sophisticated rock music, late sixties pop and soul the fantastic four dug deep among their record collections and found warm and organic sounds, some of which date back as far away as the fiftiees. They combined their various influences with their individual talents and soon Leaving Fort Lumber was a band with a unique and dynamic sound.
David Andersson: The poetic and passionate singer/songwriter persona of the band.
David Jansson: The methodical and groovy foundation of the constellation.
Fredrik Mohlin: A lumber rocker whose guitar playing functions as a joint filling material for the band’s repertoire.
Dan Olsson: A playfull rhytm explorer influenced by jazz giants and film music.
Today Leaving Fort Lumber wander the empty streets of Karlstad in search of someone: a fifth member whose foremost task is to operate the innumerable number of keyboard instruments which drummer Dan owns. (If YOU are that someone, let us know!)
At times when they are fed up with creating sweet harmonies, the guys in the band usually drink coffee or watch a movie (preferably starring Marlene Dietrich in a leading or supporting role). Their number one ambition is to get hold of a sofa in order to decorate their dear rehearsal studio Zakrisdal 21.
