Dave Maxey was born in Flint, Michigan, and lived there most of his elementary school years. After that time, his family moved to Tawas City for several years and then to the rural town of Shepherd. It was there that he met his wonderful wife, Bethany, and they were married in May of 1999; they currently have four boys. Together, they share great passion and love for their children and enjoy spending time as a family doing almost anything. With four young children, it’s very easy to find entertainment, mostly discovered in the simple things of life; for this they are grateful.
Dave has had a love for music since the age of 14. At that time, he began to learn how to sing and play several instruments, including guitar, bass, piano, and drums. In 1992, the Lord inspired him to write his first song, entitled "Never Give Up." Since then, Dave has grown in his gifts and he has answered the heart cry of the Lord to become a passionate worshiper of Jesus Christ. Today, he continues to write songs, and God has opened up doors for him to release two worship projects with all original material. The first project, entitled "More than a Song PURE," was an acoustic album released in 2006. In April 2007, the "Holy Lord" live worship album was released; this album was recorded at Resurrection Life Church Mid Michigan where Dave is presently the full time music Pastor.
