The Prophesy: Shortly before Pastor J. Marshall was born, the late Rev. Clara Strong was running revival at Mt. Calvary for the honorable Dr. Joseph Ely, Jr., D.D. It was at that revival that she said to Paulette A. Norman “You daughter, stand and thank God for the son that he is going to give you. Your son will be a blessing not only to you in your life, but also to the house of the Lord.â€The Man: Born the youngest of three, John Marshall Norman was born on May 26, 1981 to Deacon & Mrs. John H. Norman, Jr. in Brockton, Massachusetts. He attended the Brockton Public School System until he went on to further his education at Southeastern Regional majoring in Graphic Communications. After school he worked at various printing companies until feeling the urge to move on and help young people. It was at that time John became a Residential Counselor at Hillside Shelter Care, a secure DYS facility for young men. It was Hillside that John touched the lives of many young men, always inspiring them & promoting the love of Christ. It was there at Hillside that the young men gave him the name: M&M – Minister Marshall. Shortly thereafter Minister Marshall accepted an opportunity of a lifetime becoming the youngest General Manager of Chez-Vous Entertainment Complex, Boston’s only roller skating facility, staying there until being employed by the church full-time. J. Marshall is married to the love of his life La-Queena-Kenchetta Alis Bennett. Together they are the proud parents of one beautiful princess: Ta’Shayla-Sharae. They reside in Stoughton, MA.The Ministry: Born and raised in Mt. Calvary Holy Assembly No. 1, Inc. under the leadership of his grandfather: Dr. Joseph Ely, Jr., John spent all of his time working in the ministry doing whatever his hands could find to do. By the age of 18 this young man had held the following positions: Children’s Church Director, Sunday School Teacher, Youth President, Church Administrator, Transportation Ministry Leader, Computer Center Aide, Copy Center Director & Minister of Music. Hearing the voice of God, J. Marshall accepted the call to spread the good news of Christ in August of 2006. It was May of 2007 that he preached his initial sermon entitled: Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Anointed! Quickly elevating in ministry John went from Minister John Marshall to Pastor John Marshall when he was installed Youth Pastor only 3 months after he was licensed as Minister. Busy building ministry and launching various business & music ventures Pastor Marshall currently only serves in the capacities of: Minister of Music, Executive Church Administrator, Executive to the Sr. Pastor (his mom) Pastor Paulette A. Norman, and Youth Pastor of S.O.S. – SOUL’d OUT SOULJAZ the greatest youth ministry in the world!The Entrepreneur: Pastor J’s latest venture is the launch of Heavenly Muzic & Entertainment Group. H.M.E.G. will be a platform to showcase the many gifts of Pastor John Marshall. Not just a record label, but Heavenly will also serve as a marketing/management/entertainment & publishing company. Some up-coming H.M.E.G. products/productions will include: Pastor J’s debut cd: Praise Party LIVE, debut book: A Messed Up Masterpiece & theatrical debut with his soon to be HIT musical stage play: "Torn between the Two!"This anointed vessel has humbly accepted the role as an Ambassador for Christ. Pastor J. will travel no matter how great the distance to promote a message of love, peace, joy & hope to the young and young at heart. Through spoken word or in song, this young man’s radical anointing and peculiar praise is sure to bless the body of Christ everywhere the Lord sends him.
