About Me

My music isn't conventional. I'm torn finding an audience somewhere between the neosoul, 70's funk/jazz I'm obsessed with and the vintage sound of synth/electronica that's currently permeating the ebb and flow 80's music comeback.

I've always listened to music. I'll always listen to music. After 17 years of digesting it, I started putting my own spin on funk electronica, cutting records, and calling it "neofunk". Everything from the solo shows to the 7 piece funk band extravaganza - I've done it. It's somewhere in the middle of it all, the happy medium, that I'm enjoying this. I've been working on a new record for the past 2 years that marries that funk-driven live sound with the electronic/synth feel of Transit(2003). Only God knows when that will be ready. But there's a new hope. A new way to spin it. And always an unconventional voice to sing it.This is the music I like. I hear something that's missing from the mainstream top 40 radio and the indie/social music revolutions. So I'm vowing to make records to plug that hole - records you and I can enjoy.More
