Every once in a while something inspires people to create something new. To think outside the square and forge something distant yet familiar. For many people, music is a passion that they live and breathe. Something that they use to escape from reality. But for The City In Motion, it's a way of life.
Formed in the early part of 2008, TCIM decided to break away from the conventional style of writing music and try something adventurous by incorporating different styles of music and deriving a sound to set them apart from the generalised rock and emo scenes. Their various influences and versatile use of modern sounds was demonstrated with the release of their debut EP in March, 2008.
In a short space of time, TCIM have already formed a small legion of fans and have played sold out venues with some high-profile bands, including support slots on the recent Trial Kennedy and The Getaway Plan tours.
With interstate tours scheduled for late 2008 and an up-coming video shoot in the works, TCIM are gathering momentum and are looking to capitalise on their promising entrance to the Australian music scene.
