About Me

I live in the mountains of Colorado, surrounded by great musicians and great music fans. I'm lucky enough to make my living playing and teaching guitar and mandolin . My main gig is with Halden Wofford and the Hi-Beams; we play radical honky-tonk, western swing and all manner of sweet country music. It's a great gig in that we don't argue much, and I get tons of solos. Our new CD, Midnight Rodeo, was recently released... check out more at www.hibeams.com. I've been producing records for other people for about 6 years now....songwriters, Americana, bluegrass and more. It's very rewarding work, and I'm grateful and amazed that such talented artists invite me into their creative process. There's tons of samples on my website: www.gregschochet.com, which has my calendar and lots more pictures. I'd love to be your friend, but if I've never met you, I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of commitment. This profile was edited with The CricketSoda Myspace Editor
