Bastard was planned since early 2007 by Gabriel "Hobbit" Benavente and Alan "Nugga" Chávez, but wasn't formed 'til 2008.
Nugga played bass in a band called 13, where he first met drummer José "Pepe" Hernández. He was invited to join the band due to his amazing skills playing the drums, but couldn't enter because of his departure to Spain.
The second drummer was supposed to be Irwin "Servs" Ruelas, actually in Solar and Black Bullet, but had to left the band because of his other bands. Servs still remains as a major songwriter in the band.
Mauricio "Wicho" Avendaño is the lead guitarist in 13, so he was asked to enter the band, who accepted.
Marco "Marck" Mares was the next to join the band.
The vocal duties where assumed by Alberto "Selko" Páramo, vocalist for Solar. He was the last to join the band, completing the line-up.
Several members of the band (Wicho, Nugga and Selko) were part of the project The Ronald McDonald Tribute Band which disbanded in middle 2007.
On April 9th, officialy, Amilcar Célis joined Bastard to replace Marck, who previously left the band due to lack of constance and time.
